AGM & Conference
The Annual LMLGA Conference & AGM was a resounding success as more than 180 delegates met in Harrison Hot Springs May 12-14, 2010. The theme of the conference was Working Together to Strengthen Sustainability.
 
A collaborative report with the Fraser Basin Council entitled Sustainability Snapshot 2010: Working Together in the Lower Mainland became the touchstone of plenaries and workshops with an emphasis on taking action.

Welcome to LMLGA online

The LMLGA is one of the 5 area associations of the UNION OF BC MUNICIPALITIES [UBCM].           

It includes 33 local governments (from Pemberton to Hope) and 3 regional districts: Squamish Lillooet Regional District, Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley Regional District.  

The LMLGA is a non-profit organization whose purposes are:

  • to enhance and provide the format to improve and refine the quality and level of services provided by Local Government to its citizens
  • to promote the welfare and the well being of taxpayers and residents of the members of the Association
  • to promote and support to a satisfactory resolve, the concerns of members that are in keeping with the overall objectives of the Association
  • to promote and advance to UBCM on bahalf of the membership, proposed changes in legislation, regulations, or Government policies.

To accomplish its purposes, the LMLGA has an Executive Board, several committees and an interactive website and IDEEAS forum to foster collaboration, encourage innovation and inspire leadership and action.
